Jofre Oliveras

Jofre Oliveras (b. 1989, Girona, Spain) is a visual artist currently based between Spain and India whose multidisciplinary practice blends classical influences with contemporary public dialogue. With academic roots in philosophy, communication, and journalism, he approaches art and writing as tools for meaningful engagement, locating his work in the dynamic intersection of language, society, and shared space.

Guided by Mediterranean culture and classical methods, Oliveras works primarily in public spheres—from murals to installations—imbuing each piece with research-driven sensitivity to context and community.  His practice emphasizes connection: he explores public landscapes not as canvases but as partners in dialogue, using imagery, satire, and line-making to unravel social conventions and invite collective reflection.

Operating within collaborative environments like the artist-run Konvent residency, Oliveras transcends boundaries between researcher, landscaper, and creative instigator. His global projects—from European urban festivals to socially rooted interventions in India and the Middle East—treat art as a communal language and an agent for change.
